Crappie

Fair

Crappie were beginning to head to the shallow spawning areas when the weather was warm. A few more days of warm weather will be required to recover from this late winter storm that is currently in the area.

Channel catfish

Fair

A few cats being caught on shad sides or stinkbaits.

Black bass

Few recent reports

White bass

Few recent reports

Wipers

Wiper will seek out warm water this time of the year and are often found in shallow areas in the backs of coves or along shallow flats.

Walleye

Fair

The spawn is done at the lake. Walleye will be hard to find for a couple weeks until they hit the flats and again become more active. Trolling larger crankbaits is a good technique but a jig and crawler is hard to beat once the fish arrive on the flats.

Minimum length limit 18 inches.
