Lake Conditions
THE LAKE IS .3 ft ABOVE CONSERVATION POOL. The current release is 700 cfs.
Cabin Reservation Update
Cabins are available throughout the winter. To reserve any Tuttle Creek cabins, contact the park office at 785-539-7941 or go to the KDWP website www.ksoutdoors.com and reservations.
Camping Information
Electric is open at all campsites. Water is on at 20 sites in River Pond. One flush toilet building is open in River Pond. All vault toilet buildings are open.facilities are fully open. Permits can be purchase at park office 8 to 4:30 Monday through Friday, or self-pay stations at all times.
Long term campsites are available, contact the park office for more information. Firewood is still available by asking the park office. Bagged ice is available at the campstore and pat office at River Pond. Both items are supplied by the Friends Group.
Special Notices
Office hours for the state park are 8AM to 4:30 PM Monday thru Friday. If the office is closed and a gatehouse is not open, permits are still required, please use the self-pay stations.
Trails
In Randolph Area, all 20 electric campsites are complete and operational. They were funded by the National Recreational Trails Fund. The campsites are focused on providing facilities for equestrian campers and ORV campers. The sites provide electric service and community water. South Randolph campground has been closed for the season.
The Western Heritage Trail is a very scenic trail. The trail goes from Rocky Ford Campground of Tuttle Creek State Park to Rocky Ford Fishing Area and then proceeds from Rocky Ford Fishing Area to Barnes/Dyer Bridge. It is a very scenic walk or bike ride along the Big Blue River.
Cabin Update
Two new cabins at Spillway Area (Cedar Ridge) are available for rental. They have spectacular views of the lake. The names of the cabins are Pottawatomie and Riley. Two additional new cabins (Nemaha and Shawnee) are also being constructed and are on-site now at Cedar Ridge to make a total of four at that area. Nemaha and Shawnee are not available for rental yet.
Fishing
Trout season started October 15 at Willow Lake!
All water is open for fishing.
A state park vehicle permit are required. Channel catfish and large Crappie are being taken on Tuttle Creek Lake.

Fancy Creek Range
The range is open every first and third full weekends of the month, plus the fourth Thursday. Hours of operation is 10AM until 4PM. Certified Range Masters are present to ensure safe operations. A user fee is required to use the range in addition to state park vehicle permits. Contact the park office for more details. Construction of the 50 meter range is complete.
Archery Range
A COVERED FIRING LINE SHELTER HAS BEEN BUILT. The Luke Nihart Family Archery Range opened August 28, 2010. During the winter, the range is reduced to 4 target bags to extend their life. Upon request all bags would be put out if needed. The range is located in the River Pond Area. Special rules apply and consist of:
- No broadheads allowed on the range
- No crossbows allowed on the range
- Facility is open during daylight hours only
- All arrows must be released from the firing line
- Archers must shoot at the target which coincides with the correct yard range firing line.
- No alcohol or drug usage allowed in the archery range.
- Arrows cannot be released while anyone is down range.
- There is no special usage fee, but a Kansas State Park vehicle permit is required.
