The Fishing Derby is 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. @ Lake Henry
At the Fishing Derby 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. @ Lake Henry (Located just South of the Park Office.) – Learn fish ID’s, improve your casting skills and how to bait your hook from the KDWP Fisheries Dept. After the 20 minute talk kids will fish for their chance to win a fabulous prize! (The Biggest Fish, Smallest Fish and Most Fish were our winners last year.) We have even MORE PRIZES this year! SO, MORE chances to WIN! Fishing Poles & Bait will be provided. Fishing Goodie Bag to all who attend.
Snakes Alive - Snake Program is 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. @ Shelter #6 in Campground #3.
Have a chance to get a close up look of our Live Animal’s on Display. Show-n-Tell @ Shelter #6 in Campground #3 from 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. We’ll set our cages up outside and you’ll get a special viewing of our Snakes & Turtles.
We’ll talk about everything from our venomous snakes (Timber Rattlesnake, Copperhead and Massauga Rattlesnake.) and how to avoid them to our cute little turtles. Snake ID Booklet to all who attend. (While supplies last.)
