Comments

We still have open water in the middle hunting marsh by the large parking area, but very few duck on the area. There are a few more using the Missouri River, but only about 500. There were a lot of ducks north of here prior to the cold air, but not sure where they went after the areas north of here froze.

THERE ARE SWANS USING THE AREA SO MAKE SURE OF YOUR TARGET, DON'T MISTAKE THEM IN LOW LIGHT FOR SNOW GEESE

October 1 through March 31 the area can only be accessed with a special permit obtained through a drawing. The application and drawing will take place online only in 2011. Look for "Special Hunts" on our home page under HUNTING.
