2011 Dove Management Area at Jamestown Wildlife Area
The 2011 Dove Management Area looks excellent. Doves will have their choice of an 18 acre Sunflower field, and an 32 acre Wheat field. The entire Dove Management Area will be open to youth/mentor hunters only for the first four days of the season, September 1 through September 4. Youth/Novice hunters must be accompanied by and adult 18 or older who may hunt this area as long as they have at least one youth or novice hunter with them. Novice hunters are those hunters 18 or younger, or any person who has not hunted doves before. The area will then be open to all hunters on September 5th. NON-TOXIC SHOT ONLY. Daily hunter survey permits are required and are available at the Information centers.
To view each field in Google Earth click on the link. Google earth will open and the field map will be in the temporary places. Check the box so the outline of the field will appear.
