This lake is owned by the City of Mound City. This lake is enrolled into the Community Fisheries Assistance Program. A city fishing permit is no longer required. It provides one boat ramp and one floating fishing dock on the northwest side. This lake has limited shoreline access and is primarily a fishing boat lake. Several floating fish feeders are used to attract fish to the maintained shoreline adjacent to the boat ramp area. This lake supports a good channel catfish and largemouth bass population. It also has walleye, crappie and nice sunfish. It is a fishing only lake.

Use caution with the low water levels. Recent sampling indicates that this lake provides good populations of largemouth bass, bluegill and channel catfish..
