Species

Rating

Size

Baits, Method, & Location

Channel Catfish

Good

15-22 inches

Recent inflows have channel catfish foraging aggressively. Try worms fished on the bottom.

Largemouth Bass

Good

8-16 inches

Bass are holding around rocky points and in shallow coves in morning and evening. Spinnerbaits along shorelines should be effective. Move deeper near brush piles and the hump as water warms up during the day. Try dragging soft plastics near brush or bumping a crankbait around the hump.

Crappie

Fair

8-10 inches

Crappie are holding offshore in small groups. Look for concentrations of fish in deep water near brush piles or depth changes.

Bluegill/Redear Sunfish

Excellent

6-10 inches

Nightcrawlers fished a few feet below a bobber can be effective on calm days. Look for fish along the shoreline, near the fishing docks, or in submerged timber.

General Comments

Anglers should note that there are no alcoholic beverages allowed on the area.
