Channel Catifsh are stocked monthly at this location from May to September.

Carry-in boats and watercraft (including float tubes) ARE allowed on this lake for fishing (motors are not allowed). The boat ramp is not open for public use.

A trout permit is required to fish for and possess trout during the trout season, which runs from October 15 thru April 15.

Crappie

Fair

Up to 12 inches

Crappie tend to congregate in large schools as the water cools. Fish around brushpiles and other structures with small jigs or spoons.

Channel Catfish

Good

3/4 lb plus

In the cooler weather months, channel cat can be caught on a variety of baits such as; liver, stinkbait, and shrimp. Drifting and fishing with shad sides or small, whole shad has proven to be very productive. If fishing from shore try off of jetties or near any rocky or woody areas.

Bluegill

Fair

Up to 1/2lb

With cooler water, fish for sunfish around structures and weed lines. It is best to use worms or small jigs this time of year.

Rainbow Trout

Good

 

To catch trout try small spinners, spoons, flies, small crankbaits, power bait, worms, or corn.

General Comments

This is a generic fishing report covering the upcoming fall and winter season. Regular weekly fishing reports will resume in March 2012.

Channel Cat Stockings will resume in March 2012.
