Fair numbers of smallmouth bass and a low level largemouth bass population.

Channel Catfish

Good

1/2 to 6 pounds

Quite a few have been caught lately.

Walleye

Slow

1 to 5 pounds

A few being caught. Walleye regulations have changed for 2012. Daily creel is now 2 and the length limit is 15 inches.

White Bass

Good

1/2 to 2 pounds

Lots of 10 to 12 inch white bass at the lake.

Wipers

Fair to Good

1 to 12 pounds

The lake has good numbers of 16-20" wipers with a few bigger ones around. The daily creel for wipers is 2.

General Comments

Anglers need to check into the Jeffrey Energy Center Guard House located north of St. Mary's, then west off K-63 Hwy. The Jeffrey Energy Center allows 30 anglers to fish at any one time. If the inlet is flowing, then good fishing can be found there.

Zebra mussels were found at Make-Up Lake. Please CLEAN, DRAIN & DRY all equipment when changing water bodies.

Lots of smallmouth bass being caught.

Walleye

Fair

Up to 8 lbs

Anglers are starting to catch a few keepers around the island, South end of the dam, and East bank points. There are new walleye regulations at both JEC lakes; a 15 inch minimum length limit and a daily creel of 2.

White Bass

Good

1 to 2 lbs

Anglers have reported catching a lot of white bass recently.

Wipers

Fair

Up to 10 lbs

Some being caught off of wind swept points.

General Comments
