Nice numbers of smallmouth bass and a low level largemouth bass population. The dam and along the East bank are the best places for smallmouth. |

Overall sample numbers are below average for the lake. There is a brush pile just South of the fishing dock. |

Walleye are in less than 10 feet of water hitting worms or crankbaits. Walleye regulations are 2 a day and a 15 inch lenght limit. |

The lake has good numbers of 16-22" wipers with a few bigger ones around. The daily creel limit for wipers is 2. They have been busting the surface chasing shad. |

Anglers need to check into the Jeffrey Energy Center Guard House located north of St. Mary's, then west off K-63 Hwy. The Jeffrey Energy Center allows 30 anglers to fish at any one time. If the inlet is flowing, then good fishing can be found there. As of June 11th, the lake was full and the boat ramp was usable. Zebra mussels were found at Make-Up Lake. Cats have been shallow and feeding up. Commercial baits or cut-bait near the feeder, the island or the cove just North of the boat ramp. The lake has a decent catfish population, with most of them from 21" to 25". |
