Cross Timbers State Park
Summer is here! The park staff are gearing up for the upcoming 4th of July holiday. Toronto Days events will begin July 5 - 7, with fireworks at Toronto Point on July 6 at dark. There are still reservable sites available for that weekend, make yours today at www.reserveamerica.com.
The current lake level is 904.95, this is 3.45 above conservation pool.
Be sure and check out our four rustic cabins. All of our cabins offer unique views and a quiet atmosphere. Sandstone Bluff and Whispering Oaks share a courtesy dock for boaters and fisherman, be sure to request one of the two if you have these needs. Reservations should be made early, weekends usually fill up six months ahead, they can be made through www.reserveamerica.com. Please note there is no smoking or pets allowed inside, and NO TENTS allowed. Timber Walker in Toronto Point, is fully ADA, sleeps six, and has a larger living space than our other Cross Timbers cabins.
The Friends of Cross Timbers & Fall River State Parks contributes to special projects from funds produced from the camper convenience center. Funding from machines goes directly back to the group for projects in the parks. The purchase of these machines was made possible by the Friends Groups fundraising efforts. The Friends Group has replaced a washer/dryer set, they are now available in the campers Convienence center, hours are 9am to 7pm most days.
The Big Timbers playground is located in the Toronto Point area of the park. It is designed for children ages 5-12. There are slides, climbing, and swings for your youngster's enjoyment. A smaller additional playground is located in the Osage Plains Campground, where kids can enjoy a climber, and swings!
