Gove Public Domain is a 160 acre parcel acquired by the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism in 1969.
Gove Public Domain is best known for the extravagant eroded bluffs and rock formations. Hiking and hunting are the primary activities on the area.
A diversity of both game and non-game wildlife can be seen on the Gove Public Domain. Due to its size, wildlife is easily driven off the area by light hunting pressure, so good hunting opportunities are often limited.
Mule and whitetail deer, dove, rabbits (jack and cottontail), and coyotes in low numbers are also found on the area.
-
Vehicles are restricted to maintained roads.
-
No drinking water is available on the area.
-
Consult the annual hunting, fishing and furharvesting regulations for more complete rules and regulations that apply to Kansas Wildlife, Parks and Tourism areas.
